Free TTC Vintage Streetcar Rides

This Sunday, March 30, 2014, the TTC will offer free rides on one of its vintage streetcars as a way of saying thank you (or sorry?) to residents and businesses affected by track construction.

The service will be offered along the stretch of Kingston Road between Woodbine and Bingham loops between noon and 4PM.

Until 2PM, Ward 32 Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon will be on board, along with TTC Vice-Chair Maureen Adamson and TTC Chief Customer Officer Chris Upfold.

To make it more fun, come dressed up in your best retro outfit, and if you are a photographer, make sure to bring your camera!

The forecast is calling for a great sunny Sunday – this will be fun!

  1. Better yet, if you have a car, visit this place….
The Halton County Radial Railway Museum
It has a lot of Toronto’s old public transit pieces (streetcars, buses, and subway cars)
It has a streetcar from the 1800′s running. Also has an ice cream parlour that was one of the streetcars pictured above.
Reason you need a car to get to it? Its outside of Acton, Ontario. No other way to get to it lol.
